Her role within the company:

“As Purchasing Manager at ODIC, my role is to find the sourcing supplier best suited to our customers’ needs, through negotiating purchases of the highest quality in the current turbulent climate.

We need to give priority to partnerships with existing suppliers, while opening up the field to new ones, so that we are ready to deal with the unexpected. We also strive to strengthen our ties with the major players in distribution and manufacturing in the refrigeration sector.  With more than 10 years’ experience in this field and in constant contact with these players, I’m in a position to steer their actions, so far to our advantage. More than just suppliers, they are genuine partners, and our encounters, whether during remote or face-to-face meetings, at trade fairs such as the recent GLOBAL INDUSTRIES, the SIRHA and the SIFA, enable us all to keep our customers’ best interests at heart. ”

Her commitment in the face of the current context:

“Since the beginning of the year, we have all been experiencing an unprecedented situation in our supply chains. It is characterised both by shortages of certain components and services and by unprecedented price rises for all materials, components and logistics services.

Our teams are working hard to find and qualify alternative solutions to limit the impact on our customers. The purchasing department works closely with the Design Office to find innovative solutions.

We also ask our customers to forecast their requirements to the best of their abilities so that we can anticipate and position our supplies.

For the first time, we are placing orders on a half-yearly and even annual basis.  Every day, we also solicit the enhanced involvement of our production staff, who are at the heart of the business, to invent intelligent solutions in order to remedy certain basic shortages. ”
